Outlook on the Future of Technology

Your great grandparents lived during a time when there were no cars. Your parents can probably tell you of a time when there were only black and white TVs. Today’s young adults can tell you of a time when pop cans had pull tabs and you only had one phone in the house. In the 60’s the TV show Star Trek had talking computers, flip open communicators and data storage disks the size of quarters, yet the writers foresaw this happening in 2300. To our children all of these advances in technology are ancient history. The future of technology is as limitless as our thoughts can take us.

Can we predict the future of technology? U4 thinks the answer is YES. Technology will become smaller, more powerful, and as capable as today's desktop computer. Our everyday activities, such as using refrigerators, running a bath and feeding the pets will all be monitored from a device we carry, much like our phones. Our refrigerators will provide a shopping list while we stand in the store. We will be able to run the bath and have it ready when we arrive home. Our pets will be able to tell us they are out of food, and we will feed them while we are on vacation in another state. Our houses will be able to tell us the temperature in each room, who came to the door, if our water softener is out of salt and who is watching TV.

There will be those who embrace this technology and those who shy away from it. No matter which side of this debate you fall on, the fact is, technology is changing and U4 will be a part of that change. U4 will be there to answer your questions and solve your technology challenges.
