If a customer would like DSL in Embarq territory they only have to switch one DSL line to Embarq not all lines

Embarq (one of the service areas U4COM does business) is currently instructing customers if they want DSL they must switch all their lines back to Embarq not just the one line. I want to remind customers and all U4 staff, Embarq is not legally allowed to make statements like 'if a customer would like to have DSL they must have that service from Embarq'. Always ask for DSL to be installed on a fax line. Verizon and AT&T areas allow for us to keep DSL services.

Ben Plikerd honored at Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner

Ben Plikerd was recently honored at the Syracuse-Wawasee Chamber of Commerce Annual Dinner. The event was hosted at Quaker Haven Camp in Syracuse. Ben is retiring from the Chamber of Commerce board of Directors with six years of service. Ben Plikerd presents at Syracuse-Wawasee Rotary Club

U4 started a 401 simple retirement plan today

Today U4 started their simple retirement plan for all employees. This is a large step for U4, and a great step for our employees. This allows them a way to invest and save for the future. I have wanted to offer this program from the beginning, but we just were not ready for it as a company. We are encouraging all of our employees to contribute as much as they can.

Today Washington announced the lowest savings rate since the great depression. In 2006 the savings rate was a NEGATIVE 1 percent. This is one of the lowest in history since 1933 during the great depression with a record low of NEGATIVE 1.5 percent. What this means is that consumers actually spent more then they earned in 2006. U4 encourages our staff and customers to save as much money as possible.
