U4 is now number 4 within Google’s Search Engines

As of 4/27/2007 @ 5:38 PM EST U4 is currently the 4th returned result on Google’s search. U4 currently returns 8,230,000 results in .08 seconds.

U4 adds another 1.5 TB NAS

Today we have added another 1.5 TB NAS for U4 storage. As our company continues to grow so do our data requirements. We will be slowly continue to add more hard drives as we build our data center. This brings our Data Center @ U4 to a combined 4.0 TB. It is growing slowly.

U4 receives its IXC for Arkansas

Today U4 has received its IXC for Arkansas. This allows us to provide long distance service in Arkansas.

U4 Sound Contest

We are running a contest to develop The U4 Sound. “This is a unique opportunity,” said Ben Plikerd, President, “We are looking for an original sound to be used in commercials, as an ‘action completed’ sound, or even a ring tone. The sound could be 30 seconds long, but we are focusing on a sound that is 2 to 3 seconds long.” Rich Hays, Director of Marketing said, “We hesitate to give example because any un-original sound will be discarded, but the sound would be like the Windows start up© sound, the sound NBC closes the News© with or Sprint’s Power Up© sound. Another example of the sound would be what you hear when you turn your cell phone off or on. It is hard to describe what we are looking for in words.” Plikerd added, “With access to today’s technology, I would not be surprised at all to receive submissions from individuals who are considered non-musical. We are expecting the students in local schools to really be creative and original.”

The Contest - The contest is open to anyone and will run from now until June 1st. The creator of the winning sound will receive $1000 per contest rules. Submissions will be accepted on CD media in high bit rate MP3 format only. A Declaration of Eligibility Form and, if needed, a Minor Consent Form must be submitted with each CD. End Game and Beyond

I have talked a bunch about End Game two weeks ago in the weekly report. I think I have identified why fiber is one of the main components for the end game and beyond. There are a couple of things we want now but NO ONE is providing that will require multiple fiber’s to be ran to the premise. It only cost me a hundred bucks to figure out what that is, but you will want it. And you will need the bandwidth for it. And unfortunately the copper that AT&T owns just won’t do it. It might be like Matrix with that hard wire line. What is it, go spend your own money or think really hard about what you want in 15 years. And no I didn't use a glass ball in Vegas, but it was a concept behind the item I purchased.

Verizon running Fiber in Pittsburgh

Verizon in Pittsburgh is offering Fiber to the Home. They are requiring the end user to disconnect the copper wires and Verizon is actually removing the old wires from the ground. How intelligent. Not only can they recycle the copper and get as much as they are paying for the fiber, but they are also eliminating possible service parts of their old network that they must maintain for years and years to come.

After four years of business, “U4” appears to be number 11 when doing a search for U4 within google.com. We have been working on getting u4corp.com listed throughout the web in as many places as we can. Here is the current ranking for our major keywords:
